Monday Morning Walks_ May 27, 2019
Memorial Day is a quiet day in San Francisco and I head out to the Ritual on Haight Street to hand deliver a letter to a close friend and I once again retrace on foot places I seen as a realtor. This walk takes off from my home in Noe Valley and crosses into The Haight via the Pemberton Steps for a quick sighting of the magical gardens and stairways leading into homes.
These stairs have been on my walking tours of neighborhoods since I discovered book by Adah Bakalinsky, Stairway Walks Of San Francisco” published in 2007. Here’s a modern link to Weekend Sherpa for modern times.
108 Villa Terrace sold for $2,870,000 on 02.26.19 @ $915.76 per s.f. or 115% over list price
I know, who’s ever heard of Clarendon Heights? It was a planned neighborhood initially planned in the 1920’s where a deed restriction required any house constructed be more expensive than $1,900. Click below to see the listing of this incredible home with 4 beds, 3.5 baths!
